K-9 Deputies
K9 deputies are generally assigned to the Patrol Division handling a wide array of tasks in protectiing the citizens of Winston County. The K9 unit consists of highly trained and skilled nationally certified K9 deputies and K9 dogs serving dual purpose roles with both narcotics and bite training. Each K9 deputy is assigned a K9 dog which lives with the deputy's family. Continuous training is a top priority with each K9 handler working several hours each week with his K9 partner to ensure top performance and readiness.
